About Us
May 31st, 2024, the first ever Delinquent Cup was hosted. An NHL 24 tournament took over our Founder’s living room; the start of what would lead to the CRL. Over the course of two years, 3 more tournaments would be hosted before the Summer of Champions came to life. Our goal was to create community through sport, and friendship through competition. Unlike many sports leagues, we offer a different model of competition. Single day and weekend tournaments offer the chance to win the Delinquent Cup, with an optional seasonal leaderboard to determine the champion of the season. As much as it’s a competition, we also try to exemplify the social aspect of sport too. Winning is always fun, but the friendships we make are just as important as the championships. CRL events can sometimes be parties, and/or have an after party attached to the event. It is called the Delinquent Cup after all!
Our Stance on Respect
Here at the CRL we believe in utmost and absolute respect. We respect each other, the venue, and the equipment. We believe this should translate outside the event as well, that we respect each other regardless of what happens on and off the court.
Party Environments
When drinking is involved, we offer a great place for social interaction and friendship building outside of your average bar and club experience. Drinking responsibly is an expectation of all participants, keeping the game fun for everyone!
We aim to create a new era in the sport and social scene in Calgary, both which are already vibrant. We look to add to both of those elements that this amazing city has to offer. While we call Calgary home, we aim for you to call the CRL your home; where the people matter just as much as the event!
